a good thing

I came across this tonight while I was walking through the Marietta square. They are having a weekend of "celebrating Christmas". Every night they have different church choirs come to the square and sing! I'm just so happy that people are still taking a stand for Jesus, and for Christmas!
There is hope in this world!

life

has been exciting the past couple of months!
We had the Dreamer's Conference which was amazing! We saw some serious miracles in people's lives and just an awesome move of God in this generation! Friday night they prayed for people with sickness or injury and God healed a girl with an injured leg and she ran up holding her boot! Worship was so fun and it was so exciting to see God bring so many churches and youth together!

Christmas is here!! I LOVE this season and I have been trying to make it go as slowly as possible!
We picked out our tree on the coldest day of the year, so needless to say it was a very quick selection. We like to have a new theme color every year, so this year Ikea provided us with our green and black theme!Friday I had a free day so I got to hang out with these cuties!!

I can't believe how big they are getting! Autumn and Emma are so precious and at the most fun age! Love those girls!

Today Daniel and the band were in the studio all day recording the new songs.

I'm very excited about this because I love the new songs that he's written since coming to Riverstone- I think they reflect the freedom and healing that we've found!
The band is in town all weekend and tomorrow is Band Family Christmas Palooza. We've had three band weddings this year and the family is complete- and now with a band baby on the way it just feels like our family! I love these friends so much and really miss the ones that are still in Birmingham. So we are all getting together tomorrow night (minus Rachel sadly bc she is feeling 1st trimester sickies) to have a tacky sweater party of all parties. I will post pictures later for sure!
Well, that's all for now. good night.

house shopping!

Well we are house shopping! A scary and fun thing.
So many decisions! We really want to love near the Marietta square...so does everyone else. Which means we will have to sacrifice a little in size. But we love our cute and adorable square, and we love the community that it surrounds. They organize the greatest events there, and have the greatest restaurants and stores, and it's just so cute! So we'll see how the search goes. We love our loft- but everyone says it's the best time to buy.
On other thoughts...who is watching So You Think You Can Dance? It's my favorite show!
Jajob Karr is my favorite of this season- he is an amazing dancer, one of the best I've ever seen. The boy can jump! This is one of my favorites! Look at those pointed toes!
Enjoy!

Thankful Thursday

We just drove in from our 12 hour road trip from Chicago. We had a blast, as always, with the Bashta fam! That family always provides lots to laugh about and lots of adventures!

Thankful Thursday Thoughts:
I'm Thankful for-
*an incredible last 8 months and the healing that it brought
*a pastor who really knows how to pastor, and who really loves us
*a husband who dreams big, and has the drive and vision to see those dreams realized
*God, who plants those dreams and leads us to see them through
*my Jerry dog, who is lying beside me even now- it's his favorite place to be
*a mom who is my best friend, and who I love being with
*8 precious nieces and nephews
*friend, old and new, who love me just for me
*a job- even thought it's not my life long dream, it's flexible and easy ha
*our loft- there's a small window of "loft living" time in life you know
*my car that I got in college and still have, it's paid for and for that I am grateful.
*music, something that I have learned a lot about and now appreciate more than ever.
*a body that is healthy to be able to exercise, something I love
*Promises and hopes of things to come, and prayer to fight for those hopes.
*miracles

That's all for now. Happy Thanksgiving!!

It's out!

I have been patiently waiting. As a twitter follower of John Mayer, I feel that we are friends. I have been reading about this album for months- and it's out today. I'm listening now as I type this. I'm a big fan. I remember being at the beach in high school and listening to a burned copy of a very early John cd. Funny how big an artist can get in 10 years- he's playing Phillips in March (tickets go on sale Saturday- but who's counting?).
I'm excited!

behind

I'm so behind in blogging because.......our friendly neighbor who was so kind to let us "borrow" her internet has moved away- and took her internet with her. SO- we finally had to get our own. But we did not lock it just to return the favor to anyone else who might benefit from free internet- so if you need some- just come part outside our loft and just type away.

Anyway- I'm back and there is way to much to catch up on. We have been busy little bees.
I'll leave you with a couple of pictures of the past month.

Emily's baby shower in Birmingham. David Gray concert in Chicago.

JM and Ashley's wedding in Birmingham- the last of the band fam to get married! We helped with the beautiful decorations! We have our first band baby on the way! Congrats JR and Rachel!!

Ray Lamontagne concert at the Fox for Tabitha's birthday! The twins turned 1!!

Well that is a short recap!
